I left a 5 buck tip. rated excellent too . Would you used drywall screws to fasten the plywood to the new joists or some other like galvanizied wood screws?
Hi. Welcome to Just Answer.
When attaching sheathing to the joists you should use 8d nails at 6/12
Screwing roof sheathing is not recommended as when the roof system "breaths" they tend to be too rigid. This can cause the screws to pull through the sheathing causing the sheathing to loosen and the roof system to fail.
Please let me know if you have additional concerns.

Thanks Bill, Would not use drywall screws to secure the plywood sheathing as well be rigid and also not structurally strong to hold up under such loads. Here is a good guide to reference on proper layout and nailing of your roofing project.
