Have an apartment bathroom that includes only a toilet & a shower/tub with a 4x5 bathroom floor. In love w/1 inch x 1 inch mosaic porcelain tile ( Hera Mediteranea) for floor; however, larger tile seems to be the rage. Hate large tile for small spaces. Setting aside what I end up doing for the walls, do you think I could get away with the 1 inch x 1 inch size tile or should I use a larger size (as long as I don't use the 1 inch x 1 inch all over the walls & the floor) aesthetically? Intend to do only the floor, replace the toilet, replace vinyl baseboard with ceramic/porcelain tile, & paint the (part of the) walls (not presently tiled) first. Must do the wall tiling, re-glaze & recaulk tub, & replace showerhead separately (too expensive otherwise). Will buy all necessary tile for the project at the same time.

The small tiles you like will work just fine in this very small bathroom. Large tile may be popular but so is mosaic. That was the only question I could discern from your post. Let me know if you have more questions
