I have a Bosch 3107 DVS random orbit sander that stopped abruptly.

Resolved Question:

I have a Bosch 3107 DVS random orbit sander that stopped abruptly. The switch is OK but I can get no circuit through the speed governor. I don't really need the governor so can I snip it out, solder the wires together and carry on? Is there a hidden danger in doing this?

Hi. Welcome to Just Answer.
No there is no danger doing that. Just be real certain that the wires will not be rubbing on something. If the insulation is rubbed off and it shorts out it can injure you.
Please let me know if you have any other concerns. I will be happy to address them for you.
