I just found out my house has a colony of bats in my crawlspace attic. I can't afford an exterminator so a friend is doing the best he can. He has made a trap to let them out but not back in. I however live in a twin and my neighbor also has them but doesnt appear to care since they are not coming inside his home. He is contacting a roofer who will seal the problem areas but Im afraid they will come to my house thru the firewall. I only have approx. a 2 foot crawl space so cleaning out and sealing my attic is difficult. Also, getting the guana out is going to be tricky. I havent slept at home for a week because I have had 6 bats within 2 weeks inside my house. Please give me any suggestions you can. Oh and by the way, I have 4 cats!
Have all work permitted and inspected. WE KEEP GOING UNTIL YOU HAVE THE INFORMATION YOU NEED. I come and go. be patient.
Hello, Your neighbor has a good idea as far as the bats in your part of the building goes.. I would let him implement that, then put a bug bomb in the space about 2 hours after sunset, when all the bats are gone. and ask the neighbor to seal the bat exit so they can't get back in.
Next plead with your neighbor to allow him to do the same approach on your side.
Here is an article on the subject.

This is another article on the breeding months of bats in various regions, you need to evict them after the breeding season in your area.
