have a sears opener.opened ,pulled truck out,went back in house ,door would not shut.no response ,no lights any where on opener. plug is hot. opener one half horse two yrs old.acts like gettin no power but like i said a/c plug is good.whats up?

Hi and thanks for choosing JustAnswer.com. Most likely something has bumped the sensor(s) out of alignment, or obstructed communication between the sensors. In that state remotes will not close the door. You can override the safety system by holding the wall button down. Tell me what happens when you hold the wall button down.
