What can I use on an embedded stain on a traditional persian carpet? Carpet spot removers don't help. in fact they make the spot worse! I'm desperate.
Already Tried: 409 carpet cleaner Oxi Clean
Hi, Welcome to JustAnswer.com, I am glad you are here! My name is Eric & I will endeavor to answer your question.
.
May I ask the following:
Is the carpet 100% Wool? If not what is it?
What is the stain?
How long has the stain been there?
What was the average temperature, the high temperature and the low temperature while it has sat there stained?
What are ALL of the exact methods you have already tried to get the stain out.
I am worried that you may have set the stain with trying something wrong.
It is 100% wool-persian rug, gold with flecks of red. I have tries 409 carpet cleaner, oxi clean, and just a plain soapy sponge. I don't remember what initially made the stain. Even if I am unable to make the stain disappear altogether, I need at least some solution to make it less. dark and noticeable..
Hi, I have been trying to type for over 10 minutes now and the website has not been letting me type. It is working now. Please give me a moment.
Are you still there?
Hi, I'm sorry, the website or my computer seems to be giving me tremendous issues tonight. I am going to reboot my computer. This unfortunatly, usually takes a little bit of time. Please be patient. In the meantime, I have asked you a couple of questions that I need the answers to otherwise I may not be able to help you.
What has been the average temperature, the high temperature and the low temperature while it has sat there stained?
It is imperative to know what the stain is. For example: If the stain was made by substance A or B, substance A might have a remedy that would only make bigger mess or set the stain even harder were the stain substance B.
To name just a very few staining agents, There is wine, blood, Other bodily fluids, oils, dirts, dyes, inks, food, pet fluids....
If give you a remedy for one of them without knowing EXACRTLY what it really is,it could make the stain permanent if it is not already,
Eric,
Hi, It appears that my rebooting the computer did not help with the issues I am having with typing in this box.
Do you remember what kind of food it was? Any idea at all? What color is the stain now and what color was it when it was made?
Don't remember the kind of food, nor the color then. Right now it is brownish. I need somehow to make it lighter, even if I can't remove it completely.
OK, First... Because the stain has been there for a year, I think the chances that it is there permanently are very high. In the event it is not however, and because I do NOT want to be responsible for setting it permanently, I am going to give you my entire stain removal chart. I do not ever do this. It is my "secret formula" so to speak, for stain remodel in wool rugs. It covers many different substances and the tricks used to remove the stains. Many are multiple steps and must be done in order. I have had this chart for a while now. I got it from a rug company called Ne Jad. It rarely ever fails me.
Here is a link to the chart. Please let me know if this link does not work and you are unable to view the document. Thanks, Eric
