Rick I still need your help. I turned the corner with a normal 45 deg. cut on the 1 inch piece that will end connecting to the bigger piece up the stairs. I don't know what the end of the 1 piece should be 17.5 degrees at 45 degrees?
Already Tried: everything
Welcome, I will do my best to help you with your problem
It's not a compound cut.
You make your normal corner with a 45 degree miter
I did that
the small piece that turns the corner has a 17 1/2 degree cut on the end opposite the corner miter and your long run down from the stairs has a 17 1/2 degree cut on the end to make your 35 degree to follow the angle up the stairs
It's like a picture frame miter only it's at 17 1/2 instead of 45
so when you make the 17.5 degree cut on the short piece ....on my miter saw is that the angle of the cut like 45...like you said no compound cut right?
let me go try it...don't go anywhere :-)
I'll wait
Yes like a picture frame or window casing miter
no compound cut
