How do I locate a contractor with a solid, reliable reputation in the Niagara area of Southern Ontario? Since 2005 I have lived in a condo complex that was built in 1995. Several construction 'short cuts' and 'outdated codes' have been revealed with my improvement projects. Now For example, I am still concerned about ongoing issues like the extreme cold and heat in the master bedroom area. New windows and increased attic insulation helped a little,but, did not eliminate the problem. I am not sure if the proper windows (decided by the condo association...I was willing to pay extra for top quality windows) and the proper insulation were installed. The electrical outlets and switch plates on the west facing wall allow significant air flow into the rooms, most noticeable on very windy days. The force of air will blow out a BBQ lighter. There are a few other concerns to address, but, these are the most important issues. In the future when I sell this condo, I cannot in good conscience sell knowing these issues exist. Marsha
