I purchased a Sportcraft pool table, a 96" Santa Fe Billiard table model # XXXXX HD. The table top has a warp in it. I've been told by an individual to loosen the screws and bolts and , hopefully, the warp will diminish some. Is there a better way to approach this? What would a replacement top cost?
Before I purchased a new top I would contact Sportcraft and see if there is any warranty that covers the unit. From various reviews on Sportcraft the commentary is that a warped top is a common complaint. This is not a slate top, thus it is subject to movement due to contraction or expansion and changes in humidity. I would recommend making sure that you have leveled the table legs and that you have good controlled air. Loosening the bolts and screws that supports the top most likely will create other problems in addition to creating an unstable table.
