Hi

Does your cart have 4- 12v batteries?

Customer: replied 6 years ago.

I have 6 - 8volt batteries.

I need a wiring diagram or step by step instructions.

Expert:  Paul replied 6 years ago.

Here is a diagram. This is the way your batteries should be hooked up. Don't forget to use a properly rated fuse.

I understand how the batteries are hooked up,but 2-8 volt batteries don't equal 12 volt, its 16,,and 16 is too much and one is 8 and 8 is not enough..How do you hook a reducer between the batteries and the lights to reduce the power to 12 volts..
Expert:  Paul replied 6 years ago.

I have a red face on this one. Somehow I though you 8- 6v batteries, thats why I drew 8 batteries.

I am not aware of a reducer for 4v. A bank of resistors might do the trick but the size you would need would be expensive. It might be cheaper to use 24v lighting in this case.

I can opt out and see if anybody else has any better ideas, but I doubt it.
