I need to close off a window, width 3 feet, height 5 feet. House is block construction. Can I close off with 2 x 4''s plywood, and insulation?

HelloCustomer

Thank you for asking your question on Just Answer. Yes, that should work very well for closing off the opening. I can see no problem framing it with 2x4s, adding the insulation and covering the area with plywood.

Tks, last question, will what we did pass code?

I believe that it will pass code but I can not guarantee this since the building inspector has the last word. You would need to check with the building inspection department to be sure.
