Can you tell me how long the run is.

Is this the main coming into the panel through the edge of the garage slab?

I have a 115 amp panel . I dont have a garage.
the service lines run over the back yard from the pole.
entry is thru a 1 1/4 weather head and conduit down to a meter saddle, and down 2 ' and in to the house thru a 1 1/4 formed conduit elbo, now.
I have a new 200 amp panel. I want to do the inside work myself if possible.

Im a machinist and a country boy so I reckon I can fix a lot of stuff, but I looked in a book at work and I thought it said 1 1/2 conduit but a guy at Home Depot says I need 2" I really will put in whatever is correct but I dont know which is correct?

Ok the exsistring pipes are too small for a 200 amp panel. You will need to step up to a 2 " weather head, and pipe to the meter, and the same coming out to the breaker panel.

Here is a good drawing of the system.

thanks, XXXXX XXXXX any rules for the inside ? The planned installation is just a fot one side of the existing panel.

I don't see any problems moving the panel from its origonal position. Just be sure that you use the proper sweeps as needed and you should be fine.

Thank you for the accerpt.
