Bought a house with a Craftsman Garage door opener. Wall switch works, remotes work, but not keyless entry key pad. Replaced the battery, checked the connections. Lights blink fast when we follow directions on keypad for new code, but doesn''t take the code, then the remotes don''t work. Opener is model 139.53975SRT1. Any idea why keyless entry won''t work?
Ok what you need to do is push the little red button on the upper right hand side of the garage door opener motor. You hold the button until the little led light stays on. Then you go to your keypad and enter the new number and press enter. You will see your garage door light blink a few times. Once it finishes blinking - your new code is set.
