How do you get tree pine sap off of patio

Customer Question

We have pine trees overhanging our patio brick. The sap falls on the brick and dries
a hard white color on the brick. How do we
remove the sap (white spots) off the brick?

I have read that peanut oil or peanut butter removes pinesap, but I've never tried it.   Orange
concentrate cleaner reportedly removes pinesap also known as Pitch. Whatever you try,
test first in inconspicuous area.”
Concrete Degreaser also lifts off tree sap and resins from concrete, masonry, etc.”
