this can be done bu removing the screw that holds the handle on and removing the nut below it. Then you simply unscrew the stem.Just like turning it on take it to a hardware store and replace it and the handle.If they don't carry the stem you may have to buy the hole faucet and take the stem out of it.Most of them are interchangeable


don't forget to turn the water off before trying to do this
