Should someone get PEP if they had receptive unprotected anal sex, but the other person did not ejaculate and was not inside him very long? The HIV-status of the other person is unknown.

There is no set guideline.

This is low risk, but, if there was ejaculation that you don't know about the risk is up to around 3%.

If you and your doctor did decide on PEP, then it would have to be done within 72 hours.

It is valid to do, as this is high risk behavior.
