I did HIV 1&2 Test from July 2010 and it was negative. I take another test on the 16th October 2010 and it was Negative and 16th December 2010 and it was also Negative. In the year 2011 I take another test on the 4th April 2011 it was Negative,July 4th 2011 Negative,28th August 2011 Negative and December 15th last test was Negative. So I need to know whether I should do another test? I feel dry mouth and dry throat with Muscular Pains for sometimes now. Is that any medications for muscular pains and any injection?
This is Dr. Davidyou should only continue with HIV testing if you have risks factors such as unprotected sex or IV drug use. your symptoms of dry mouth and dry throat and muscle pain could be from an autoimmune disease like sjogren's syndrome. you should see a rheumatology doctor if you can and get tested for auto-immune diseases to see if they can diagnose one for you. there are anti-inflammatory pain medications like ibuprofen or naproxen sodium you can try for your muscle pains until you get to see a doctor.
I had only unprotected sex with my wife and some these rheumatology doctor are not available in Ghana and is that any injection you can prescrib for me as to inject because of the muscle pain?
there is no way of knowing why you are having muscle pains without medical testing. you can see a regular doctor for blood work and testing to see if you have elevations of inflammatory markers like ESR or c reactive proteins. only after proper testing can a treatment be recommended.
Okay and Can you tell me the name of the test so that I can contact some private hospitals and see whether they can do the testing for me or not?And also do I need to do another testing for the HIV? because i have not been to any risk unprotected sex apart from my wife.
no, I don't think you need to do any more HIV testing. you have had 2 years of HIV testing already and they have been all negative.you should get routine Completel Blood Count Testing (CBC) and complete chemistry panel testing (CMP33) with liver and kidney function testing and calcium and albumin levels and ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate) and ANA (anti-nuclear antigen) testing along with CK which is creatine kinase which is released into the blood when muscle dies. CKMB is released when heart muscle dies but I don't think you are having a heart attack.
I will check some of the hospitals to see whether they can do this testing. Can you prescrib any medication for Gonorrea? Or any injection which can cure Gonnorea?
online doctors can not prescribe medications to clients we can't see, can't examine and can't keep medical records on. good luck with the blood testing.let me know if you have other qestions. if done, please click acceptthanks for using justanswers.com
