The risk for sex with a HIV+ individual -- with a high virus load -- is given as one chance in 2,500.

Does this person know his current viral load?

As you can see the risk for contacting HIV is low. But, given what you have posted, I believe it is prudent for you to act as if you have HIV in all of your future sexual contacts until such time as you have been proven negative with serial testing.

i had no signs of any rectial bleeding does this increse the chances of not contacting hiv?

Not really. You might have a small amount of bleeding inside your rectum that would not be obvious.

As I stated, you risk of catching HIV from this encounter is very real -- but small.
