Hi Terry, my name is***** this boat going to be docked some place that you can drag a garden hose to it from time to time? Or does it stay moored in saltwater year round?
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
It's a caterpillar bulldozer, D8n, not a boat!
This will be interesting, did you read the question?

I did read the question, your question ended up in the boat category by mistake so I assumed this was a boat. I will send this over to the heavy equipment category for you.

Ok , but I'm worried after the first reply that the answer will be simplistic

What exactly are you needing to know about cleaning your D8?
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
Ok I mistakenly thought this was a caterpillar site, however now that I've paid,
I'm wanting to know that after the machine has operated in saltwater(ocean), which is the most corrosive environment there is how can I protect the machine ie rollers tracks pins etc etc etc from corrosion in the future , ie what products are available to wash it down with etc etc ect, preventative producs, I'm not optimistic the first bloke thought it was a boat

Ok baking soda is a good saltwater neutralizer I live buy the gulf and we will trow baking soda on all the undercarriage parts and pressure wash the machine the baking soda neutralizes the corrosion process on metal
