Hi, I have a 1986, GS221 Hino, the problem I have is with the foot pedal brake valve. I replaced the original valve with a universal type valve. Now I can only get air up if I keep my foot firmly down on the brake pedal and then when I release the foot brake pedal the air dumps out of the bottom of the new valve. I replaced the pipe connections as they came off the old valve and the new valve bolted up and connected to all the pipes perfectly? What have I done wrong? Kind regards, Greg
Optional Information: Make: Hino Model: GS221k Year: 1986 Engine: EM10014656 Already Tried: I have replaced old valve body and can't work out which pipes are wrongly connected or is it something else?
High Greg I will help you today,It sounds like the valve is plumed backwards, the valve called the treadle valve is kinda square in shape, and should be marked in/out, it sounds like you need to change fittings1/4 turn. Most off the universal valves have inlet on one side, and the opposite side, and if you turn 1/4 turn you would have out, on both sides,so it sounds like you are 1/4 out of time with the pluming.spanky
