i have a 3116 cat that came in in a basket, my question is how many orings are there supposed to be on the injectors?? the customer brought in 6 new genuine cat injectors, ther is only one o ring on them, what seals the fuek galley or is there supposed to be an oring or seal at the base of the injector

I see. Thanks for the information.The injector has two o rings. One near the top and one on the very bottom tip. Many times this o ring is missing when the injector gets removed. It gets stuck in th head. Please reply back if you need more help or have more questions.

thank you, XXXXX XXXXX there should be 2 but only came from the factory with one, does the bottom one go at the very base and sit between the base of the injector and the bottom of the injector cup
You are very welcome.Yes they only come with one. To be honest, Cat recommends not using the bottom o ring and just let the metal to metal contact between the injector and cup be the seal. But I am here to tell you, it does not always work. I always use the lower o ring. The part number is(NNN) NNN-NNNN Yes, it goes at the very base around the tip.
