I have a 2003-04 catalillar 416D tractor backhoe, i have a problem with my fuel priming pump- motor, it will not engage or turn on when i turn on the ignition, i connectected it to a outside source to see if it was not frozen up or just shot ,but it is working just fine so it is oviously not getting any power from the battery source. is there a fuse or relay i am missing, catapiller is lousey at labeling the relays and fuses, so any ideas or suggestions, i only have 600 hrs on this machine and cat is no help at all ,thanks

The pump does not come on with the key in the on position.
You must turn the key to the start position to active the pump.
If you leave the key in the run position, you should hear the pump run.
What is your serial number?
Your OMM (operator and maintenance manual) should have the fuses list in it. It is much better than the sticker.
I could not post a file in chat, here is a copy of the fuse page, Yours should be similar.416D fuses Relay marked K1 is the start relay. Lift pump relay is located next to lift pump.

Your welcome. Be sure to try cranking the engine AND leave the key in the run position. If you don't here the lift pump running, start checking voltages on the wires in the schematic. If wiring does not match, please get the serial number for that machine too.
