Customer Question

Not getting fuel to the injectors on a perkins 402c-05 diesel. Fuel system has been bled to inlet of high pressure pump. Repeatedly cranked engine and cracked line at injector, but get no fuel. Any thoughts on what i may be missing?

HeavyEquipmentTech :

Hi my name is XXX. X will try to help.... Check for power to your fuel shut off with the ignition on and make sure your fuel shut of solenoid is working properly and opening up the fuel in your pump. It sounds like your pump fuel shut down is not working. I hope this helps. Thanks for using JA

Customer :

The solenoid clicks when I apply power. WOuld it be possible to remove the solenoid and trying it.

HeavyEquipmentTech :

If you have properly bled your fuel to the injection pump and cracked each injection line one at a time while cranking and your engine will not start or attempt to fire then you either have a fuel shut down problem or a faulty injection pump. Check your fuel shut down that it is moving the fuel rack to the open position ot verify this.

Still no start - fuel at HP pump but still no start -fuel still not at injector - don't know how to deal with the HP pump in regrds to condition or output. Brand new engine that does not start is a problem -
