Installed a tekonsha electric trailer brake in 03 F250 diesel 6.0l used the recommended wiring harness to the correct input this was confirmed by dealer tech. Problem is no power thru the black lead to the controller. Just got truck and there was no owners manual dont see any blown fuses but not sure if a fuse needs to be put in a blank spot to activae the circut.

On a 2003-2004 you most likely need to add a fuse to F2.6, F2.38, F2.39. and F2.115, in the central fuse box located under the dash panel, left side. I would download the manual and look up your year for exact data. There is a relay sometimes as well, should be in place according to info I have. Thanks Dan.
Further info on fuses, check F2.38 it will need a 20 amp fues and should be the one you needing. Trailer tow also has a relay C2110 in the central junction box. F2.6, 20 amp is the turn signal relay and trailer tow. F2.17, is a 15 amp exterior lamps and trailer tow relay, parking lamps.
