Customer Question

Hi, I'm trying to wire up a 7 pin trailer plug to a Hino FB. I can't seem to get the brake lights to come on or the brakes on the trailer to work. All running lights and turn signals work. The Hino uses a separate wire for the brake and turn signals. So, there is a wire for the brake, a wire fore left, a wire for right and the running lights wire. On the dash in the cab is the brake control. I get a green light but that is all. Everything appears to be wired according to the drawings I can find but I suspect the extra brake light wire is causing the problem. ???

Hi Wayne,

The problem I had was with both the lack of a conversion box, as you suggested, and a faulty control box in the cab. All is well now. Thanks for your help.
