Cummins..problem with jake brakes..I took the valve cover..solenoid

Hello Gentleman, I've international 9400i truck with cummins isx 475 hp. I'm having problem with jake brakes..I took the valve cover off and found my back three jakes are working and front 3 jakes aren't working that attached to the front solenoid. I need help plz
Hello and welcome to Just Answer! I would be more than happy to assist you today.I would first check the switch in the cab to make sure it is working properly than check for a failed solenoid

Check the resistance of each solenoid with the wiring harness disconnected from the solenoid.

Measure the resistance from the terminal to the body of the solenoid,

Cold Engine5 to 20 ohms
Hot Engine5 to 20 ohms

Cold Engine32 to 40 ohms
Hot Engine60 to 80 ohms

Replace the solenoid if not within specifications.

Inspect the engine brake wiring harness, if the solenoids are within specifications.
