I have a 115 lawn tractor . It will not move , I jacked it up and the drive belt and pulley on top of hydrostat transmission turns but not the wheels. Is it the transmissionor could it be something else? Thanks Harold
Optional Information: Make: john deere Model: 115 Year: 2004 Engine: 20 Already Tried: The mower stopped while cutting heavy grass, the blades continued to run but mower would not. I jacked mower up and every thing looks normal but the rear wheels will not turn, they are free when I turn by hand?
Welcome to JUST ANSWER heavy equipment. With years of experience, I look forward to doing my best to help. Take a quick look at the axles coming through the wheels. Each wheel has a key that locks it to the axle shaft. If this key shears , the wheel will not turn. The axle will spin in the wheel. If no problem there, the problem can be much deeper in the axle!! Let me know. Thank you.
I checked and the keys are ok.
Could the freewheel lever got knocked into the freewheel position?
Number 1
Yes , it looked like it was in position but when I pushed it in really
hard it engaged the rear wheels and appears ok now
thanks Harold
