working on 98 ford f800 with hydrulic brakes with air chamber parking brake trying to figure out how to back the brake off to get the drum off (i can see the two adjusters looking through the slots in backplate but they wont turn The drum has just enough ridge on it that it wont slide off over the bakeshoes
Hi trucker, is it an air brake chamber or a hydraulic parking brake chamber?
Customer: replied 5 years ago.

it is a air parking brake chamber there is only one line that hooks to the chamber and it is an air line

Ok, is there a bolt with a nut on the rear of the chamber?
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
yes there is

Thanks, XXXXX XXXXX tighten that nut it will cage the spring part of the parking brake and release the brakes allowing you to remove the drums. If you need more help , please let me know, thanks,

Customer: replied 5 years ago.
well i tried that but it wont tighten it seem to be different then a maxie on a semi the threaded stud with the nut on in the back of the chamber has a slot on the end I loosened the stud and it will turn out and dosent seem to have any pressure on it at all The chamber also has fluid in BUT no brake lines hook to the chamber itself seems to be transmission fluid
Turn the bolt and nut counter clockwise to cage the spring.graphicgraphic
