Hino Liesse bus Year 2000 RX4 JFE imported 2nd hand. Engine JO5C-TI. Following a basic engine oil and filter change the bus will not start. It cranks over OK. Fuel system has been checked with pressure OK up to the injector pump. This motor is fully electronic controlled (ie no mechanical cables) The impression is that there is an overiding control based on protection of the engine should the oil level drop too low.is this the case?how to reset this?
Already Tried: The engine was alwas an instant starter even after weeks of sitting. the fuel ws the first thought so the filter has been checked, bled and then the union at the filter to the pump cracked to give plenty of fuel on cranking. I have tried extended cranking with the oil pressure light going out as pressure was achieved
Hello are there any lights, have you cracked the lines at the injectors themselves to check for fuel and to let the air out of the lines. In most cases disconnecting the batteries for about a half an hr will reset the computer. DR.Cummins40295.874641169
That did not work. I disconnected the battery for about 1 1/2 hrs.
I cracked two injector unions and cranked the engine on the starter for a minute or so (the oil light went out and the compressor is building up the brake reservoir pressure) and there was absolutely no discharge of bubbles or fuel. This is understandable if the injector pump is not getting any signal to release the fuel solenoid.
I suspect that the 'no start' might be purely coincidental with the oil change. I will bring in an auto electrician but will need a circuit diagram or more info for him to check thru.
Relist: Inaccurate answer.I have already replied to the expert that his reply did not solve the problem and that I had tried or checked his suggestions to no avail. I have now had reminder as if I have not responded to the first answer
