Hi, I have an 07 International 4300, rollback with the DT466 engine and Allison 5 speed automatic transmission. I have to replace the Transmission, torque converter, flywheel, spacer ring and flywheel housing due to a wreck. I am trying to find a used transmission but I can find the model# XXXXX The nameplate just gives the serial number and MFG Date. We also took the transmission to a rebuilder but the part# XXXXX gave me was 63106-82490 which doesn't sound right. I believe it may be an Allison 2500 PTS but I want to make sure. How can I find out the actual model#
Optional Information: Year: 2007Make (other): InternationalModel: 4300Engine: DT466 Already Tried: We have pulled the trans. completely out. We have the serial #, That is all.
Thanks for using Just Answer, Hold tight I will have the information for you. I need to sign on the Allison main frame.Bill
If you can pull this off then there WILL be a tip. I appreciate the help!!!!!
Ok here is the info I get Vin # XXXXX Motor City FordSerial number (NNN) NNN-NNNNbr />Assembly number "which is the part number for identification" E010512Actual model of the transmission is a 2200RDSWhich is the common trans for a flat bed wrecker. Thanks for using Just Answer!Bill
Thanks Bill!! Why does it come up as a Ford VIN? I just wanted to make sure they didn't read me a number off of another customers bill, or is it not that unusual for these transmissions to be used in several different manufacturers drivelines?
No it's a International Vin, all Vins starting with 1HT let me know it's a International. At one time the company "Motor City Ford" was the end user of the truck, "They must have had some warranty work done" Pretty cool how the Allison main frame pulls up that information.Have a great week end!Bill
