CUMMINS..Some times the check engine light comes on and the truck..rev

Resolved Question:

I have an ISX CUMMINS 485. Some times the check engine light comes on and the truck loses power like it is going to quit running. If you can get it to rev up to 1600 or 1800 RPM it will run then eventually come out of it. This a 2008 KW with 63000 miles. It has happened too many times to count. Can you tell me what the problem is?

you should be able to read them on your dash, in the display , what did the cummins dealer find as far as faults?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
Cummins put in a new filter on warranty. Nothing was mentioned about faults. Right now the light will not come on. I can look for a fault message the next time it gives me problems.

You should be able to go into the fault history on your dash, Is the lift pump coming on when you bump the starter?

I will consult manual re: faults. Thank you for your input. I would click accept but cannot find it.
