Customer Question

It seems like my eyes have drooped in recent years. Although I can still see perfectly out of both eyes, I remember my eyes appearing much larger up until about the age of 15. This is confirmed when I look back in photos from when I was a baby up until the age of 13 around. Do I have ptosis? and what could cause this? The first photo was from when I was 12 and the second from when I was 15. Now, not only do my eyelids feel like they look droopy but also the skin on my lids is starting to droop. What is going on?!?

Sorry, the first photo was from when I was 15 and the second was from when I was 12.

This is the most recent photo and as you can see the skin on my left eye is beginning to fold over because it is thinning out a bit. Im only 17 so why does it feel like my eyes are aging?

for some people, their eyes can droop as they get older? would this be considered normal? also, I had an eating disorder when I was about 13 and lost nearly 25 pounds dropping from 115 pounds to 90 pounds over a course of 8 months then gained the weight back within 5 months. Could this have caused any problems with my face? And would you recommend i receive any surgery on my eyes? Thanks

Do not have any pain or discharge from my eyes. However, I feel like when I wake up my eyes appear much more open then throughout the day. Any thoughts on this too?

You are always welcome.

Wasting or loosing weight or weight gain can have effect,

I do not think you need any surgery for it.

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
Do you know any ways I can make my eyelids more open? Thanks
Expert:  Dr. Saha replied 5 months ago.

For cosmetic reason you can consult a cosmetic surgeon.
Medicines would not help.
Basically, as there is no problem with vision, you should not need any intervention or surgery.
