I have a sore that developed on the top of my back shoulder

Customer Question

I have a sore that developed on the top of my back shoulder area about 4 months ago a little smaller than a pencil. It gets a scab and then falls off and then starts all over again

Did you have any test?
Did you consult doctor or take any measure?

Thank you for all the information,
I am sorry for your symptoms.
The small sore can be from a few possibilities.
There can be a persistent or chronic infection of the sore.
Chronic irritation can impede healing.
A swab can be taken for culture to see if there is any infection.
A biopsy may be needed to rule out any other serious issue.
If you have not yet got it examined by doctor, I would suggest to take one.
Meanwhile, you can apply OTC antibacterial cream, neosporin to prevent infection.
I hope this information helps.
If there’s anything else I can do, please let me know.
Wish your early recovery.
Please rate my answer excellent if you are satisfied with it.
Regards.

No I have not seen a doctor. It is a little smaller than a pencil. Yes I have tried antibiotic cream that is even a prescription that I had from a boil. Is there a name or something I can research and look up what it could possibly be?

A swab can be taken for culture to find the precise infection.

Then proper antibiotic can be used for treating it.
