I woke up at 3 am with what seems to be a UTI. Is there anywhere to go besides the ER?
JA: Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?
Customer: I just woke up with it. I have not had any indication of it before now.
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: I am 68 and the last time I had one was 2012.

Your symptoms seem to be due to an infection or stone in the urinary tract.
Please try to drink fluid.
Passing diluted urine can reduce the symptoms.
An urinalysis should be taken.
Antibiotics can be needed.
Doctor can take an ultrasound to rule out stones.
You can take cranberry juice.
OTC Azo tablets will also help in pain, burning.
You can apply alternate hot & cold compress over lower abdomen.
You can try to pass urine after opening the tap.
Sound of running water often helps to pass urine.
If you do not feel relief, I would suggest to take an examination by doctor in ER.
