I've been having small pimple like sores on my right arm

Customer Question

I've been having small pimple like sores on my right arm that seam to never heal. They will scab up and leave a scar. It might be contagious.
I'm a caregiver and noticed that my client may have gotten one.

Hi, Corinne,

How long has this been going on?

Four months

I've not felt good since February.
I went to the doctor and he ignored my symptoms.

I also noticed ALL the hair in my nose is gone. I've had a stuffed up nose for months. I went to a Clinic for my nose & they gave me an inhaler for athsma.
But my question still remains.
What are these pimple like sores on my arms & hand.
I don't have a fever with them.

Hi, Corinne,

Thanks for the additional information. It would require a culture to determine what the pimples are. I'm sorry your doctor didn't do this when you first discussed it with him. There are literally dozens of things it can be: bacterial, viral, allergic, parasitic. If your own doctor isn't helping, perhaps your client's doctor will pay attention to her symptom.

It isn't all that uncommon to lose some nose hair as we age. It can also be lost due to allergies or asthma and the constant irritation that goes with them. An ENT (ear, nost, throat) specialist is the person to see about this.

Please let me know if you have additional questions about this.

Kind regards,

Schuyler
