Hello,

Expert:  Dr. Saha replied 6 months ago.

How is his pulse rate now?

How frequently is it occurring?

How old is he?

Expert:  Dr. Saha replied 6 months ago.

Hello again,
I was waiting for your reply.
I am sorry for his symptoms.
This skipped heart beat feeling can be from increased rate or rhythm or due to heart's ectopic beats.
Ectopic beats arise from other sites of the heart besides its normal site.
In most of the cases they are benign in nature .
However if it occurs regularly, he should consult doctor.
EKG, Holter monitor can be taken which can record rate & rhythm over 24 hours.
This will give a clear picture.
He needs to avoid anxiety, stress, tea, coffee, alcohol, & smoking (if he does any) which often exacerbates it.
I hope this information helps.
If there’s anything else I can do, please let me know.
Wish him early recovery.
Please rate my answer excellent if you are satisfied with it.
Regards.

His pulse will speed up a little and then slow down and then it skips a beat. It's been happening since we woke up. It happens about once a year but it happened a couple of weeks ago and lasted about 15 minutes. This time it's been about an hour and it's still going on.
