Antibiotics will take several days to see how well they are working. You can't tell much in just one day. Are you taking something for pain? Usually acetaminophen or ibuprofen are used for the discomfort.

Did the doctor mention cellulitis as a diagnosis? That is infection in the blood vessels.

Please let me know what additional questions you have about this.

Cellulitis is one possible reason for the symptoms. Usually it clears with antibiotics in a week or so.

Kind regards,

Schuyler
