Customer Question

My girlfriend has some type of bacterial infection but no std. Her gynecologist recommended an abdominal shot of antibiotics. Do I need to take a course of antibiotics to keep from passing the infection back to her?

Hello,

I'm so sorry, but it isn't possible to say if you need medication without knowing what kind of infection it is and what kind of antibiotic she is getting. Some types of infections only require that you don't have intercourse for 3-4 days until the infection is cleared. Others (the STDs) require that the partner also be treated at the same time.

Please ask her and get back to me so I can let you know what is best to do.

Kind regards,

Schuyler
