Have had diverticulitis twice, most recently in July this

Customer Question

Have had diverticulitis twice, most recently in July this year. I'm starting to get twinge in lower left quadrant that make me wonder if it's back. Meds make me extremely nauseous to the point I have to stay in bed. Is there anything I can do to head it off at the pass, so to speak, if it is diverticultis?
JA: What medications do you take daily? Are you allergic to any medications?
Customer: None. Use only eye drops for glaucoma. Allergic to sulfa
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: Father had same problem. Other than that, not really.

Please write about the twinge in a bit detail.

Is there any tenderness, lump or swelling?

How is stool?

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
No lump, no swelling, just a bit of discomfort that started last night. Stool fine, no constipation or diarrhea.
Customer: replied 1 month ago.
It's how it's started in the past.

Thank you for all the information,
I am sorry for your symptoms.
Mild twinge can be from spasm of colon.
Gas cramp is possible.
Muscle pull of abdominal wall can be there too.
As the discomfort is mild & there is no change in stool, you can wait & watch.
Please try to take plenty of fluid.
I hope this information helps.
If there’s anything else I can do, please let me know.
Wish your good health.
Please rate my answer excellent if you are satisfied with it.

Expert:  Dr. Saha replied 1 month ago.

You can try soft diet, more liquid as precaution.
