The high systolic blood pressure (148) can occur due to kidney stones. Kidney plays definite role in regulating the blood pressure and any kidney ailment can affect the BP. This normalizes once the kidney stones are removed or pass off.

A salt restricted diet with fresh citrus fruits (which contain plenty of potassium) meanwhile may hep in lowering the blood pressure.
