Customer Question

I googled 'blue tongue' because I noticed in the mirror 30 minutes ago that it is blue and I have not eaten or drank anything blue
JA: Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?
Customer: No, as I said I just noticed it. But I've had a metallic taste in my mouth since Saturday. I had a dentist apt. last Wednesday so I went back to him yesterday & he saw no reason for bad taste. Then I just saw my blue tongue now. It must not have been blue yesterday or dentist would've noticed
JA: Have you noticed any recent swelling? Do you have any tooth pain?
Customer: I'm taking ambien, trazodone & Cymbalta, but have been for awhile. No and no
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: Just past history of slight asthma, anxiety and insomnia.

Do you have any other symptom? cough or shortness of breath?

Customer: replied 4 days ago.
No, just very tired lately but that's normal for me - been under a lot of stress
Customer: replied 4 days ago.
Last Wednesday I was at the dentist for hours - exam, x-rays, full cleaning, build up of broken tooth & temporary crown. They gave me so many shots of novacaine I couldn't feel half my face for hours. I was also under the nitrous for 2 hours. Since Saturday I've had bad taste in mouth and just today noticed blue tongue

Thank you for all the information,
I am sorry for your symptoms.
Bluish color can be due to local or generalized problem.
Colored food can cause it.
But you have not taken any colored product.
There can be systemic causes causing cyanosis.
Lung causes like COPD, bronchitis, bronchiolitis, pneumonia, ILD, embolism can cause it.
Heart issues like failure, cyanotic heart disorders can affect here.
Other cause can be large doses of sedatives, seizures etc which you are not having.
Again, you are not having cough, shortness of breath.
You need to get an examination by doctor again.
If he feels necessary, he can take further tests like blood gases, X ray, EKG, echo etc.
I hope this information helps.
If there’s anything else I can do, please let me know.
Wish your good health.
Please rate my answer excellent if you are satisfied with it.

I received all of this information on the internet just by doing a google search, so I am not satisfied at all. This was not worth the $22, I would like a refund please. Thank you.
Expert:  Dr. Saha replied 4 days ago.

I am sorry.

You can contact customer service for refund.

Customer: replied 4 days ago.
Could you at least tell me if it could be from all of the work and anesthesia from the dentist? I can't afford another doctor.
If you can answer this, I will rate you and not request a refund.
Expert:  Dr. Saha replied 4 days ago.

I do not think it is from dental work or anesthesia.

Local anesthesia or dental work will not cause poor blood supply or decrease in oxygen concentration locally.

It should have developed soon after the dental work.

Now there is a white film over the blue.
Expert:  Dr. Saha replied 4 days ago.

White film can be from a fungal infection or yeast.

Mucus or food debris can be there.

Customer: replied 4 days ago.
the bad/metallic taste? Any ideas about that?
Expert:  Dr. Saha replied 4 days ago.

Bad metallic taste can occur from infection, effect of medicines in your case.
