I am suffering from heavy periods since the last 2

Customer Question

I am suffering from heavy periods since the last 2 all started 2 yrs ago when I missed 2 months. The period came back after that and was very heavy for 6 months. Then after that it went back to completely NORMAL for the entire yr. Now again it has become heavy. I do not change pads every hour nor do I have bleeding between periods. However, they have exceeded 7 days but its not the same flow everyday. Clots are small. Lets say if I had 2 weeks of bleeding then I have had a month's gap before the next cycle..

Hi Please respond
Expert:  Dr. Saha replied 3 days ago.

Thank you for all the information,
I am sorry for your symptoms.
There can be different possibilities for the bleeding.
There can be hormonal abnormalities from ovary or other endocrine glands.
Uterine changes, endometriosis can cause it.
Infection other than STD, pelvic congestion can be other factors.
Systemic illness, coagulation disorder can also cause such bleeding.
A few tests like blood hormone levels, blood count, ultrasound would be helpful.
Treatment would depend on the detection of cause & treating accordingly.
I hope this information helps.
If there’s anything else I can do, please let me know.
Wish your good health.
Please rate my answer excellent if you are satisfied with it.
