My husband was bitten by our neighbor's six month old puppy.

Customer Question

My husband was bitten by our neighbor's six month old puppy. The bite scraped the skin and it bled. I dressed the wound, then talked to my neighbor and found that the puppy has not had her rabies shot yet... should we be concerned?

Thank you for all the information,
I am sorry for his symptoms.
Though in domestic conditions, rabies is rare, but I would suggest to take an examination by doctor.
The puppy can be taken to vet for examination of any sign for rabies.
You can apply neosporin cream over the area.
This would help to prevent any bacterial infection.
I hope this information helps.
If there’s anything else I can do, please let me know.
Wish him good health.
