Blood in semen is known as hematospermia. Brownish color semen can be due to blood mixed with semen. It may come from urethra, prostate ,epididymis, seminal vesicles or testis. There may be -Inflammation , Infection, trauma or growth, Sometimes no cause may be found too. Blood in the semen is usually the result of inflammation of the seminal vesicles, and will usually go away spontaneously. If the blood does not clear within 3-5 days you should consult doctor to find the precise cause. Analysis of semen, urine & ultrasound of scrotum and testicles may be needed to be done.
