I have a Hard cyst on knuckle of my right index finger. Also

I have a Hard cyst on knuckle of my right index finger. Also like a bone spur on the bottom of middle finger. Please advise
JA: Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?
Customer: Just my PCP who has referred me to orthopedic Oh, I do take blood pressure med. and vits.
JA: Is this consistent, or is there some fluctuation in blood pressure?
Customer: I've been on a low dose since 2006
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: No I feel like I'm in good health. I'm 52 yrs old

This being at the knuckle joint and feeling like a firm cyst sounds that it may be a ganglion cyst ..

That is a weak area of the connective tissue surrounding the joint

Fluid within the joint may push out a weak area of the connective tissue that surrounds the joint ...

It is on the joint PIP, my pcp it wasn't a ganglion cyst.

It may be a sesmoid bone perhaps ...I don't have the benefit to exmine it of course ...

The orthopedic referral is correct for what you describe ..I agree with that ...

It does not sound "fixable" on your own however ...
