This is strange. My husbands ankles are swelling. His shins

Customer Question

This is strange. My husbands ankles are swelling. His shins hurt. I just checked his blood pressure and it is 168/86. His pulse rate is 129. He just went to his cardiologist and the doctor told him to double his blood pressure medicine. I don't think the medicine would raise his heart rate like that. He is 58 and has a stent in his heart.
JA: Do you know if your family has a history of heart disease? In general, how would you describe your health lately?
Customer: His younger brother just has by-pass surgery. His father does not have heart problems. His mother had a valve replaced years ago
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: Just strange that his one ankle is swelling and now his pulse is so fast.

Hello!

The picture overall here is concerning...

His blood pressure is too high ....

His pulse rate is abnormally high ...

The swelling and shin pain COULD BE a concerning symptoms of congestive heart failure...

He should be checked I think at the ER ...

Something is going on to cause his pulse rate to be so high ...

He needs evaluation I think tonight

There are different possible scenarios to put this puzzle together but he needs evaluation

I hope this is helpful for you
