I am a male, age 85, with apparently a hormone problem

Customer Question

Hello, I am a male, age 85, with apparently a hormone problem (maybe low testosterone?) that has made me self-conscious most of my life.I refer to puffy breasts. Is there a way to reduce my breast tissue either by increasing testosterone (& how to do that); reduce by surgery, or any other way? I would be grateful for effective advice. Thank you.

Hello and thanks for your question.
It's my first priority to help you.

I understand your concern.

Gynecomastia is swelling of the breast tissue in men, caused by an imbalance of the hormones estrogen and testosterone resulting in puffy breast.

You should see your doctor or get a referral to Plastic surgeon and undergo
Blood tests like serum testosterone and estradiol
Mammograms

And treatment options may include
Liposuction. This surgery removes breast fat, but not the breast gland tissue itself.
Mastectomy removes the breast gland tissue and done endoscopically,(only small incisions are used) This less invasive type of surgery involves less recovery time.
