Customer Question

feeling very fatigued and there is occasional numbness in my arms, neck and hands. I sometimes get a little jittery and occasionally have some pressure in the middle of my chest.
JA: Have you ever dealt with this before? Are you having any shortness of breath?
Customer: yes but not for a long time... last time they said it was anxiety... I occasionally take lexipro and alprazolam on a very occasional basis. no shortness of breath
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: not that I can think of

I am Dr Saha, I shall try my best to help you.

How old are you?

This just started on sunday flying home from visiting a client... continued throughout the day. I was ok yesterday during the day and then last night woke up with numbness and my a little pressure in my chest. I took my blood pressure and it was 160/100. It usually runs higher maybe 130/85.
I did see my doctor a few weeks back... I took a CTA and waiting for results.
I have had this in the past but hasn't lasted and come and gone like its doing now... and I don't recall feeling this tired.

My current heart rate is about 60bpm

Thank you for all the information,

I feel you need an examination by doctor without delay.

Pressure in the middle of chest with rise of blood pressure can come from heart issues like angina.

There can be weak feeling, the sensation can radiate to neck, arm.

An EKG, blood work, echo would be needed.

I hope this information helps.
If there’s anything else I can do, please let me know.
If you are satisfied, please rate my answer as good or excellent.

I just had one done less than 2 weeks ago... so I would need one again?
Customer: replied 2 months ago.
The doctor said it was all normal

CTA may not be needed.

But EKG, cardiac enzymes would be helpful to rule out any new heart issue.

I did have an EKG and they checked my blood less than 2 weeks ago and said everything was normal.... could something change in a span of less than 2 weeks?

I am sorry, the condition can change in days too.

However, as you have anxiety issues those can be a factor.

Still, heart disease needs urgent check up & it would be safer to rule that out.
