Hello!

The straining to have BM sounds that you may have some problem with constipation.

I would recommend That you try taking a daily STOOL softener ---

OPTIONS > Surfak 260mg one a day ( over the counter )

> COLACE or Docusate 100mg capsule > 1 or 2 Daily

> Mineral oil 1 tablespoon a day

If no BM three or more days with abdominal discomfort then you may try OTC Miralax and use a dose with 8 ounces of fluid once each evening for a few days until you get results ..

If the abdominal pain should clear completely in short time then it may not demand medical evaluation. If that is recurring or ongoing then I would recommend That you get checked further .

Abdominal pain may arise for many possible reasons // some common causes may include constipation/ diverticulosis / colitis / hernia ...etc...

I hope that this information is helpful for you
