I've had a constant tickle/itchy feeling in the back of my

Customer Question

I've had a constant tickle/itchy feeling in the back of my throat for about 3 weeks now. I finally took a closer look and noticed several large bumps on the way back of my tongue. After reading a several Google articles relating to my symptoms and possible causes, I've become quite concerned. What should I do?
JA: How long have you been dealing with this? Does anything in particular seem to make the itch better or worse?
Customer: I'd say a good 3-4 weeks and for some reason it seems to be worse anytime I take my ADHD medication adderall.
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: I don't know if this is relevant but I HAVE had my tonsils removed. Wasn't sure if that had anything to do with it
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Doctor about your situation and then connect you two.

As such this can be due to post nasal drip or pharyngitis.

I do think you should wait for few days to see if it gets better.

A ENT examination may be considered.

Steam Inhalation,Saline gargles can be helpful.

Also your doctor may want to prescribe anti histaminic medications as well like allegra etc.

Also warm soups and herb tea may be helpful in your case.

This should resolve with proper treatment.
